A sad day...for me at least [Mar. 23rd, 2009|09:11 am]
The Fenway Faithful

Curt Schilling has announced his retirement.

It is a shame. I knew it was coming, but just sad to see it. He was someone I really latched onto from this team. Yes, he has a big mouth. However, as I have stated before, I can deal with someone with a big mouth who says what the diehard fans are thinking rather than some selfish player who complains about how many balls are thrown to them or how often they play.

He was not from here, but he has immersed himself within the community.

Just my $.02

Thanks for everything Schill.

Is it ironic? [Dec. 29th, 2008|07:11 pm]
The Fenway Faithful

That the Dodgers have started looking elsewhere since Manny has not given word on his future plans.

How is Boras working out for you Manny? I know there is still time and he will find somewhere to be, but aren't his mega-millions opps dwindling?

Oh well, I guess it's just Manny being Manny.

Did he ever get someone to buy his stuff on E-bay?

Manny left holding the bag...... [Dec. 23rd, 2008|01:22 pm]
The Fenway Faithful

This is laughable.

Angels won't pursue Manny.
Yanks just signed MTex, so they are 'spent'. (which makes me happy, cause Youkilis is equal to MTex, so there was no reason for us to get him)

What will happen to Manny?
Does he resign with the Dodgers? Who else will have him? Who else will put up with him? Can he join a team with true structure? Are there any such teams anymore? Are we happy enough with Bay to exclude Manny? I believe so.

What are your thoughts?

Red Sox trade Crisp for Ramirez... [Nov. 19th, 2008|01:55 pm]
The Fenway Faithful

The Red Sox have traded Coco Crisp for RHP R. Ramirez. This will bring another setup man to the relievers, allowing Masterson to join the main rotation.

Congrats to the AL Champion Tampa Bay Rays [Oct. 19th, 2008|08:49 pm]

They were a worthy adversary, but in the end, proved more resilient.

See ya next year.

Hoping for a Rays win of the WS.

Did anyone else find the last couple innings of tonight's game just a little stressful?! but well worth it! Bring on the Rays. But seriously, I think i stopped breathing a couple of times during the 8th and 9th innings...
